Los urianálisis de Ana salieron medianamente bien, ya que sigue saliendo un poco de sangre en orina. El diagnóstico ha sido "cistitis idiopática" (es decir, de origen desconocido). Sospechamos que por estrés ante la llegada de Sara, ya que todos los problemas comenzaron ahí. Para ello estamos siguiendo un tratamiento basado en el enriquecimiento ambiental y en cambios en la alimentación que parece va dando muy buenos frutos. La esterilización de Sara también ha sido fundamental.

What a wonderful scratching post. Ana, you do know that the dominant place for cats is actually on the floor, the cats who are higher up are the lesser cats? So you keep to the bottom, like a true dominatrix!
We hope the cystitis clears up soon and you and Sara are getting on better. There's a supplement called Cystease which is a type of glucosamine which really helps cats who are prone to ideopathic cystitis, it keeps the bladder lining well covered so it doesn't get inflamed. Your vet will know about it.
That's a very interesting page about environmental enrichment, lots of really good info there. If you get your Mum to do all the things on there you will be the most indulged cats on the planet!

@Luna y Zeus: El rascador lo puedes conseguir en Carrefour por 24 euros mas o menos. A mami le parecio bien de precio y encima al ladito de casa, no lo dudo. Se llevo ese y otro pequeño por 9 euros para las uñas de Sara

Ana, the price of freedom is eternal vigilance, and you're keeping your eyes peeled for any trouble. We hope you're going to keep feeling better with that cystitis.
It is kinda amazing how many time a trip to the V*T ends up with 'fever of unknown origin' or 'idiophatic cyctitis' or something similar as the final diagnosis. At least, that sounds better than "Beats the heck out of me. That'll be fifty bucks, please."

Hola chicos!! que rascador mas chuli!!. Nosotros tenemos ya tres y mami no va a comprarnos mas, o por lo menos hasta que estos se rompan!!
Que bien que Sara ya pueda estar sueltecita por toda la casa, o por lo menos parte del dia, poco a poco se iran acostumbrando unos a otros.
Tambien nos alegramos por Anita y por los analisis, esperamos que cada vez esten mejor y que la sangre desaparezca.
